The results for the India election 2009 are scheduled for 16th May. The elections are being conducted by the Election Commission of India in five different phases. a total of 543 Lok Sabha constituencies will take part in these elections and more than 6000 candidates are expected to try their chances.
The main contenders for the elections are obviously the National parties, Congress and BJP. But the third front led by the Left parties and aptly supported by Mayawati's BSP, Jayalalitha and Biju Janta Dal, can come out as a king maker if they are able to muster some good number of seats to be declared for India 2009 election results. It is expected that if they muster 100+ seats, and Cngress needs their support for forming Govt, then Left parties may ask the Congress to support the Govt led by the Third Front. A separate fourth front has also emerged in this election with Lalu Yadav, Mulayam Yadav and Ram Bilas Paswan. However, possibly the only motive for this fourth front is to extract the biggest bargain after the polls, as it is very certain that they'd go with whoever is capable of forming the 15th Lok Sabha Govt after the elections.
Let's just hope that whoever gets a majority in this 543 constituency elections, works for the welfare of Indian people and helps take India ahead. We do not want illogical poll combination's and seat bargains to come up after the election 2009 results are declared.
